Last year HMD Global Launched a new face of the old Nokia 3310 which was a massive success, as the phone was highly appreciated every Nokia fans and small phone lovers find themselves drawn to the device not just because it looks similar to the old model but because it also comes delighting, alluring and amusing features which is something new in the mobile market.
And Here we are again, the year 2018 sees another much more interesting old device in a new ravishing look and trending specifications.
The HMD Global has once again resurrected another old Legendary model Nokia device “The Matrix Nokia 8110” the Finnish brand’s classic banana phone.
“This is a return to the glory years of Nokia,” said Ian Fogg, senior analyst at IHS Markit. “But it also includes all the new technology.”
The 8110 was fashionable and one in town when it was launched decades ago, but now to use it might look out of place but with the rebranding give to it, this device once again is eyes catchy and trendsetting.
Putting the device side by side with the old model, you will agree it looks much like the original, however, the new Nokia 8110 4G has a curved protective cover you can slide open to pick up calls and slide back to end them. The unique shape also means you can spin the phone in ways you never imagined. if you are of the old era and you want your old 8110 back then am sorry to burst your ego but the new 8110 is by no means a carbon copy of the 20-year-old handset that inspired it, though, they share the same banana-shaped design and sliding cover, but the stubby antenna of old is now gone coupled with many more upgrades.
This low-end phone is highly plasticky, unlike the original which boost solid metal body. The phone features a 2.4’’curved full-color screen, slender profile and the addition of a 2MP camera, a single LED flash and a speaker.
The 8110 comes with 4G, and a handful of apps including Google Maps, Facebook () and Twitter ( ), however, users won’t be able to download other popular apps, it lacks a flashy operating system. To crown it all, feature phones are popular for a long last battery with just a single full charge, the 8110, not lacking in this department, the Qualcomm 205 mobile platform which runs on the phone is optimised to bring performance without compromising on battery life, bringing up to 25 days of standby time from a single charge with its 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery capacity.
In addition to this features the new Nokia 8110 sports a 4g network capacity allowing you to surf, chat and stream faster coupled with the wireless Hotspot feature lets you create your own Wi-Fi connection wherever you are.
